Our history

TASK Transcription was started in 1988 by a working mother with two young children and one client. Thirty-five (35) years later, we have serviced hundreds of clients, from law firms to hospitals, to court reporters, to Public Defender offices, to marketing firms, to Government agencies, and many other companies in between. We have employed hundreds of workers, some for a season and others for many years.

Over the course of this time, we have learned how to be of the most value to our clients, streamlining their operations and providing excellent work, quick turnaround, and personalized service. After 35 years we are still looking for ways to be even better on behalf of those with whom we work and those for whom we work.

Our people

Our transcriptionists bring experience and expertise to our company. Each is based in the US and have spent years working in the legal and medical fields, some having been with our company for decades. Our Quality Team Leaders are experienced proofreaders and editors who are dedicated to ensuring that each client’s unique needs are met.

Our Process

When you begin service with TASK you are provided with a team of typists who will get to know your authors, your formatting, your templates, and your individual needs. That team of typists is headed by a Quality Team Leader, who manages the work that you send us and proofreads the transcription that we deliver to you. We have found this customized process makes for efficient and effective workflows for our clients. Additionally, we have a proprietary and secure workflow management system that is available for you to have the ability to interact with your work online.
